I went the Restoration Hardware furniture outlet in Tracy, CA, USA. I had recently purchased a new home and was looking for a dinner table and a bedroom set.

I didn’t have a real budget set but knew I wanted to spend considerably less than the retail catalog and store prices for Restoration.

The prices at the outlet were in fact very low compared to retail - about 70-80% below retail on average - but the product was not comparable because almost all of the outlet furniture was either damaged or otherwise irregular.

The overall experience was underwhelming. The outlet was difficult to find and not well marked from the road.

The products were accessible and the prices were clearly marked but the environment was more of a warehouse liquidation and not at all like the factory store experience at many other outlets.

The best use of the Restoration Outlet in Tracy would be to purchase a slightly damaged piece of furniture for a guest room or other location where the damage is either not that important or where it can be concealed by a wall or some other piece of furniture.

The prices are good but the selection and the quality are not at this Restoration Hardware outlet store.
