Concerned Citizens Party Of Connecticut Timothy Knibbs for US Senate Why should you vote for Timothy Knibbs? * Timothy Knibbs is the only candidate that supports all of your Constitutional rights. *Timothy Knibbs supports everyone's 5th amendment right It states "nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, Without due process of law," * Timothy Knibbs completely supports your 2nd amendment rights. * Timothy Knibbs supports your 4th amendment rights, your current senator voted for the Patriot Act, evidence that he does not. * Timothy Knibbs believes that our involvement in NAFTA, GATT, and the WTO not only hurts our workers and our economy, but these agreements are also unconstitutional. Congress is given the express power of taxation in the Constitution. * Timothy Knibbs opposes the IMF. This fund is used to bail out primarily socialist governments. Most of the recipients of this fund have tightly government controlled economies that cause their problems to begin with. * Timothy Knibbs believes the President should be the commander-in-chief of the US armed forces and only congress can declare war as stated in the Constitution. Therefore, we should not allow our troops to be under UN control and any undeclared war is unconstitutional. * Timothy Knibbs believes we need to keep our promises to our seniors. Social Security could be kept viable by eliminating the cap and taxing all earned income for Social security. That would allow us to compensate the remaining Notch Victims. I support the lump sum settlement plan. It would also allow us to begin a gradual partial privatization without jeopardizing benefits to current or near future recipients. I will vote against any plan that seeks to move to fast. Eligible investments would have to meet risk criteria and be in US companies and bonds. * Timothy Knibbs believes that parents should be able to raise their own children.He supports tax credits when one parent stays at home, not encouraging them to use daycare. * Timothy Knibbs supports the use of vouchers to allow parents to send their children to the school they choose; public, private, religious,or even home school. The nonpublic schools would have to meet certain national test score minimums in order to qualify. * Timothy Knibbs supports The Constitution Restoration Act. He supports the Life at Conception and The Right to Life Acts. He also supports the American Sovereignty Restoration Act. * Timothy Knibbs believes that Congress needs to reform itself. First, term limits for both houses, 5 terms for the House (10 yrs.) and 2 terms for the Senate (12 yrs.). Secondly, we need to eliminate congressional pensions. Also, we need to take away the power of Congress to vote themselves a raise, by tying congressional pay to the median income of the people. Most likely about 5 times this number. This would result in a pay cut for them. Then we need to pay them on a per diem basis. If you or I do not show up for work we do not get paid and neither should they.
